Pampanga is set to host one of the most visually striking events of the summer as the Lumina Water Lantern Festival arrives at The Lakeshore on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Scheduled on Mother’s Day, the event is expected to gather more than 10,000 attendees for an evening centered on light, reflection, music, and shared memories.

Organized by Vibe Events, Lumina is being presented as a large-scale eco-friendly water lantern festival that invites guests to write messages, hopes, dreams, or tributes on floating lanterns before releasing them onto the water at dusk. The concept draws inspiration from lantern traditions associated with reflection, peace, and emotional connection, turning the event into more than just a visual spectacle.

What makes Lumina stand out is its combination of heartfelt meaning and festival-scale entertainment. While the lantern release is the main highlight, guests can also enjoy live music, food booths, activity stations, carnival rides, fireworks, and family-friendly attractions throughout the day. Gates open at 3:00 PM, giving attendees enough time to explore the venue, enjoy the performances, and prepare for the main release at sunset.

The festival’s lineup includes performances from Johnoy Danao, El Manu & Jessy Kang, NOBITA, and Jem Macatuno, along with additional acoustic and saxophone performances. Hosting duties will be handled by DJ Raqi Terra and DJ Benjamon, adding more energy to an event already designed to create memorable moments.

Lumina also carries a bigger ambition. Organizers said the festival will feature an Official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title attempt, adding another layer of excitement to an event already generating strong interest. In fact, the earlier launch of the concept reportedly sold out in just three days, prompting organizers to transfer the festival to a larger venue.

With its mix of emotional storytelling, large-scale visuals, and live entertainment, the Lumina Water Lantern Festival is shaping up to be one of Pampanga’s most anticipated events this year.
