The local apparel manufacturer donated textile scraps to help support handcrafted products, scholarships, and community livelihood.
A Pampanga-based apparel manufacturer is showing how local businesses can create impact beyond production.
Wilarts, known for custom uniforms, sportswear, and corporate apparel, has donated scrap fabrics from its production operations to the Don Carlo Cavina Foundation, Inc. in Las Piñas City.
The donation will support the foundation’s Sustainable Livelihood Program, where volunteers will upcycle the fabric remnants into sellable handcrafted products. Earnings from these products will go directly to DCCFI’s scholarship programs for deserving students.
For Wilarts, the effort is part of a bigger commitment to circularity. Instead of allowing textile waste to be discarded, the company is redirecting materials to a community that can turn them into useful products and livelihood opportunities.
William Yabut, Owner and CEO of Wilarts, said the company believes production should serve not only clients, but also people and communities that need support.
Wilarts has been operating for over eight years and has produced more than 100,000 items for more than 10,000 clients nationwide. With three branches in Pampanga, the company continues to grow as one of Central Luzon’s trusted custom apparel manufacturers.
The initiative highlights how Pampanga businesses can take practical steps toward sustainability while helping communities create income and support education.
