Joy, laughter, and resilience filled the air on June 3, 2025, as Skyranch Pampanga became the playground of heroes during the first day of the 27th Kythe Foundation Summer Camp, in heartfelt collaboration with SM Cares.

The vibrant amusement park transformed into a sanctuary of smiles for 49 young cancer warriors and children with chronic illnesses. For one unforgettable day, these brave kids stepped away from treatments and hospital rooms and stepped into a world of fun, magic, and hope—surrounded by the warmth of their families and the unwavering support of dedicated volunteers.

In a show of unwavering community spirit, Skyranch Pampanga gifted complimentary ride passes to all participants, letting the children enjoy classic attractions like the carousel, bumper cars, and the iconic Skyranch Pampanga Eye—with Mount Arayat standing tall in the background, mirroring the strength of these young souls.

Adding to the festive atmosphere were SM employee volunteers from SM City Pampanga, who helped ensure that every child felt safe, seen, and celebrated throughout the day. From holding hands during ride queues to sharing laughs over snacks, the bonds formed were as lasting as the memories made.

“The children from Kythe Foundation are young patients bravely battling cancer and other chronic illnesses,” shared Engr. Bien C. Mateo, SM Cares Program Director for Disability Affairs. “At SM, we are committed to bringing joy and creating meaningful moments for them—offering experiences that inspire hope, happiness, and cherished memories.”

This heartwarming event forms part of SM Cares’ inclusive advocacy, championing the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities through meaningful partnerships and hands-on support. By joining hands with Kythe Foundation, SM ensures that its efforts reach those who need it most, in ways that truly matter.

With the laughter of children echoing through the park and families capturing moments of joy, Skyranch Pampanga once again lived up to its promise as a place “Where Happy Memories are Made.” But on this day, it became something more—a place where courage was celebrated, hope was renewed, and love was the main attraction.

Because sometimes, the best kind of healing starts with a smile.
