These things are a bit out of the norm which makes it fun and a lot more exciting, am I right?
If you’re quite the historian, don’t forget to drop by Nayong Pilipino in Clark. As it is, Clark Airbase is beaming with historical landmarks such as Clark Veterans Cemetery and the Kamikaze West Airfield. But you should never, ever forget to visit Nayong Pilipino. To have a bit of history instilled in your beautiful mind is enriching and fulfilling. Revisit ancestral homes and sulk in the culture of Kapampangans.
If you’re an adrenaline junkie, you surely must have heard of SandBox already. Giant swing, zipline, archery, and many more—Sand Box is a heaven for those who love the rush. The place is also Instagrammable, try searching it on Instagram and you’ll know what we mean. If you want a heart racing, hair-raising kind of adrenaline though, try visiting one of the most haunted places on Earth—the abandoned hospital in Clark. It is said to be super haunted that you can’t simply go in there as you please. Talk to the ‘caretakers’ first before you do some ghost hunting. Also, it’s off-limits during the night, I think you already know why.
If you’re very family-oriented and is always travelling with them, Fontana and Aqua Planet Water Park are the places to be. Now, you don’t need to wait for summer to be able to take a dip in the pool and enjoy the water! For families who are a bit more conservative and just want a quiet time with each other, Fontana Leisure Parks and Casino is the one for you. Rent villas, take a swim, go on a stroll—you can do it all there. On the other hand, for families or even a group of friends who love slides and other water activities, well then, the newly opened Aqua Planet is the place you’d want to visit.
If you’re the curious kind of traveler, then touring around Pampanga would be perfect. Get to know the culture and heritage of Pampanga by immersing yourself in its people. You can go from city to city, or concentrate on just one—the choice is always yours. And while you’re at it, try each town’s delicacy!
There are still a lot of things you can do in Pampanga but it’s better if you get to explore and experience it yourself! Never forget, dare to explore and step out of your comfort zone every once in a while. Travelling and the new adventure is good for the soul, and Pampanga surely is the BEST place to be.
BONUS TIP: Try to visit what is said to be the first restaurant to serve sisig in Pampanga, Aling Lucing’s Sisig to get a taste of what a TRUE sisig should taste like. Afterwards, visit LA Bakeshop in San Fernando to taste their super famous and super yummy cheese bread! A food immersion in Pampanga also sounds kind of nice, don’t you think?
