Giant Lantern Festival shines at Robinsons Starmills
Christmas in the Philippines shines brightest in San Fernando, Pampanga, the country’s Christmas Capital and home of the world-renowned Giant Lantern Festival.
Robinsons Starmills officially launched the holiday season on September 4 with the 100 Days Countdown to the Giant Lantern Festival. The mall, Robinsons Land Corporation’s lifestyle center in Pampanga, reaffirmed its more than 17-year partnership with the event through a Memorandum of Agreement signing.
The celebration featured the lighting of a 35-foot Pampanga lantern-inspired Christmas tree and a grand lantern display. This highlights San Fernando’s cultural heritage and its reputation as the home of the Giant Lantern Festival.
In line with Robinsons Land Corporation’s 45th anniversary, Robinsons Starmills also extended support to the City of San Fernando’s “One Tablet, One Student” program led by Mayor Vilma B. Caluag, blending tradition with advocacy for education.
Mallgoers can enjoy early holiday shopping with big discounts at Lacoste, GUESS, Mango Outlet, and Digimap. Dining options include Cabalen, Takoyadon, Zus Coffee, Kenny Rogers, and Bo’s Coffee, while families can enjoy activities at Robinsons Movieworld, I Sports, and Kidzooona.
The highlight remains the Giant Lantern Festival competition on December 13, where 10 barangays will showcase their 20-foot lantern masterpieces. The Giant Lantern Display and Exhibition will run from December 14, 2025 to January 1, 2026.
Robinsons Starmills continues to be at the heart of Pampanga’s holiday spirit, bringing together lights, tradition, and family celebrations as the Home of the Giant Lantern Festival.
