The event is a landmark in the fields of urban, regional, and environmental planning, drawing hundreds of experts including urban planners, architects, engineers, property developers, and academics from around the world.
Organized by the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) in partnership with the Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT), led by Gov. Susan A. Yap, and a dedicated Local Organizing Committee, the event marks the 60th anniversary of ISOCARP. It also features the inaugural International Conference on New Cities-Planning New Regenerative Cities.
New Clark City, a symbol of regeneration built from the ashes of Mount Pinatubo’s eruption, provides the ideal backdrop for this groundbreaking event. Planners and enthusiasts will engage in discussions on designing new cities that harmonize with nature and focus on sustainability, climate resilience, and inclusivity.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Arsenio M. Balisacan, Secretary of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Anacláudia C. Rossbach, Executive Director of UN Habitat, and other global experts. Attendees can participate in five different conference tracks, explore Tarlac’s development, and take part in technical tours, with a special emphasis on carbon neutrality and sustainable urban development.
