Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. officially inaugurated two new primary care facilities in Barangays Pulung Maragul and Malabanias on March 11, 2025, reinforcing the city government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services for all Angeleños.
With a growing population of 450,000, Angeles City aims to establish 15 primary health care units to ensure accessible and comprehensive medical services for its residents. To support this initiative, the city government has allocated P55 million for the construction of nine additional facilities across the city.
Each newly opened facility is fully equipped with dental rooms, consultation areas, laboratories, physician offices, pantries, storage spaces, and pharmacies stocked with essential medicines. These units are designed to enhance the city’s healthcare system by offering immediate medical attention and preventive care.
Mayor Lazatin is set to inaugurate two more primary care units in Barangays Tabun and Cutud on March 12. Additionally, five more facilities in Barangays Pulungbulu, Anunas, Capaya, Amsic, and Balibago are expected to be operational within the year, bringing the city’s total to 15 primary care units.
Since assuming office in 2019, Mayor Lazatin has prioritized public health, expanding from just six existing primary care facilities in Barangays Pandan, Sto. Domingo, Lourdes Northwest, Lourdes Sur East, Balibago, and Pulung Cacutud. To further enhance healthcare delivery, the city government has also recruited additional doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and dental aides, ensuring efficient and accessible medical services for all Angeleños.
