City of San Fernando celebrates creativity and unity through Giant Lantern Festival 2025
The City of San Fernando, Pampanga, once again shines as it announces the ten barangays that will light up the Giant Lantern Festival 2025 on December 13 at Robinsons Starmills. Known as the “Christmas Capital of the Philippines,” the city continues to celebrate the artistry and unity that define Kapampangan tradition.
This year’s participating barangays are Bulaon, Calulut, Del Pilar, Del Rosario, Dolores, San Jose, San Juan, San Nicolas, Sta. Lucia, and Sto. Niño. Each will showcase its own giant parol, a product of months of design, teamwork, and passion.
The lantern makers behind the brilliance include Mark Niño Flores (Bulaon), Syakina Leigh Bondoc (Calulut), Florante Parilla (Del Pilar), Ryan Joshua David (Del Rosario), Teddy Aguilar (Dolores), Mary Anne Torres (San Jose), Arnel Flores (San Juan), Edmar David (San Nicolas), Karl Ernest Qiuwa (Sta. Lucia), and Byron Bondoc (Sto. Niño). Their work highlights the craftsmanship that continues to make Pampanga’s lanterns world-famous.
Supporting them are their barangay captains: Hon. Lavernie Gopez (Bulaon), Hon. Jamie Capil (Calulut), Hon. Jerry Canlas (Del Pilar), Hon. Razil Escoto (Del Rosario), Hon. Allan Patio (Dolores), Hon.
