Far Eastern University (FEU) has officially launched its newest campus in San Fernando, Pampanga, expanding its academic reach in Central Luzon through a landmark partnership with Unilab Education under the newly formed venture, Higher Academia Inc. (HAI).
The establishment of FEU Pampanga is positioned to play a vital role in the region’s inclusive economic development by producing globally competitive graduates. With a strong emphasis on innovation, real-world immersion, and industry collaboration, the campus reflects FEU’s continued commitment to shaping future-ready professionals.
“Unilab, a leader in health and science, is FEU’s first non-school partner. They made a strategic decision to venture into education, and we are honored to collaborate with them,” said Juan Miguel Montinola, president of both FEU and HAI. “Unilab Education helps shape our curriculum to match real industry advancements and needs.”
Unlike traditional industry partnerships, the collaboration between FEU and Unilab Education is a full joint venture, offering a more integrated approach to curriculum design, program implementation, talent development, and experiential learning. This includes access to Unilab’s professional network for research collaborations, exclusive industry-led training, and internships aimed at building real-world competencies.
Currently, FEU Pampanga offers bachelor’s degrees in Accountancy, Criminology, Engineering, Psychology, and Tourism Management. Pending approval are new extension programs in Business Administration and Hospitality Management, with more offerings from FEU’s broader school network expected to follow.
In line with the Department of Education’s strengthened Senior High School (SHS) curriculum, FEU Pampanga is also one of the pilot implementers, reducing core subjects while increasing work immersion hours to better prepare students for employment or further education.
The academic structure includes a mix of traditional, hybrid, and online instruction, catering to both full-time students and working professionals across the region. The curriculum promotes character formation, soft skills, industry certification, and experiential learning—key ingredients for today’s ever-evolving job market.
Faculty members will consist of highly qualified academics, industry experts, and visiting professionals who undergo ongoing training in teaching, research, and community involvement.
Students can also expect robust career guidance, job placement support, and leadership development programs, further ensuring their success beyond graduation. According to FEU, its graduates are expected to find meaningful employment or pursue licensure shortly after completing their studies.
“With FEU Pampanga, we continue the mission of our founder, Dr. Nicanor Reyes, to uplift the lives of Filipinos through education,” Montinola emphasized.
FEU Pampanga joins a growing network of FEU schools nationwide, including FEU Main, FEU Institute of Technology, FEU Alabang, FEU Diliman, FEU Cavite, and FEU Roosevelt campuses in Cainta, Marikina, and Rodriguez. The network also includes partner institutions such as Good Samaritan Colleges in Cabanatuan, Edustria in Lipa-Malvar, and JCHS in Brunei.
As it welcomes its first batch of students, FEU Pampanga sets a new benchmark for regional academic institutions—bridging education with industry and empowering future leaders in Central Luzon and beyond.
