The Department of Trade and Industry – Regional Office 3 (DTI-3) is celebrating the 2025 National Women’s Month with a series of activities aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs across Central Luzon. Under the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” this year’s observance highlights women’s critical role in driving economic progress.
With support from local government units, private organizations, and community partners, DTI-3 has launched a variety of events to enhance women’s business knowledge, financial literacy, and market opportunities. These initiatives provide a platform for women-led enterprises to thrive, reinforcing DTI-3’s commitment to inclusive entrepreneurship.
The celebration kicked off with provincial activities, including business training sessions in Bulacan, entrepreneurship webinars in Nueva Ecija, and a women-led trade fair in Pampanga. Upcoming key events include:
- GAD Film Showing (March 21, DTI-3 Conference Room) – Showcasing films that promote gender equality and women empowerment.
- Webinar on Anti-Violence Against Women and Children (March 13, Online) – Raising awareness of legal protections for women.
- Entrepreneurial Seminar & Baking Skills Training (March 13, Tarlac City) – A livelihood program for women, including former rebels.
- Business Taxation Seminar (March 18, Zambales) – Helping women entrepreneurs navigate tax compliance.
- Business 101 Seminar (March 26, Tarlac) – Encouraging entrepreneurship as a viable livelihood option.
DTI-3 is also spearheading women-led trade fairs across the region, including the Women Entrepreneurs’ Fair in Clark Cityfront Mall (March 14-22), the Likhang Zambaleño Summer Trade Fair in Subic Bay (March 12-21), and Tatak Pinoy, Tatak Tarlac at SM City Tarlac (March 14-30). These events showcase the creativity and resilience of women-owned MSMEs.
DTI-3 Regional Director Edna Dizon emphasized the importance of these initiatives, stating, “By supporting women entrepreneurs, we are not just celebrating Women’s Month – we are investing in a stronger and more resilient economy.”
With these initiatives, DTI-3 continues to champion women’s economic empowerment and gender equality, proving that women-led businesses are a vital force in shaping a progressive future.
