This law, dedicated to honoring Filipino centenarians, ensures that individuals like Lola Encarnacion receive additional benefits and privileges in recognition of their remarkable longevity.

The event was graced by the presence of several key officials who contributed to the momentous occasion. Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Ms. Sharmaine Pabustan-Sigua and Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) head Mr. Fernando Vital joined Mayor Ruding Gonzales in presenting the cash incentive. Representing the DSWD Region III Office was Mr. Vincent Pineda, further underscoring the collaborative effort to honor centenarians.

Mayor Ruding Gonzales extended his gratitude to the DSWD Region III, led by Regional Director Venus F. Rebuldela and Regional Social Pension Unit (RSPU) Mr. Jasper P. Nicolas, for their unwavering support and dedication to the welfare of senior citizens. Their collective efforts ensure that centenarians like Lola Encarnacion receive the recognition and support they deserve.

The ceremony not only celebrated Lola Encarnacion’s century-long journey but also highlighted the community’s commitment to valuing and supporting its senior citizens. Through such initiatives, the legacy and contributions of centenarians are honored, inspiring future generations to cherish and respect the elderly members of society.
