A popular Filipino dessert, halo-halo is surely hit during this season of summer. With its combination of shaved ice and evaporated milk and a mixture of everything you can actually think of – boiled sweet beans, bananas, jelly, and mixed of fruits – it’s a perfect way to beat the heat of summer. If you’re here in Pampanga, try the best halo-halo in their town:

1. Razon’s Halo Halo – They say that simplicity is beautiful and the loveliness in each glass of The Original Razon’s Halo-Halo lies in its simple ingredients, all nestled tightly inside an ice-capped glass. Pampanga’s Pride for good tasting halo-halo. Not the typical one with lots of ingredients, fruits. The halo-halo with few ingredients so far tastes so delightful that one is not enough. I would say their halo-halo doesn’t need to be overflowing with ingredients cause their halo-halo tastes really good even if it has only 2 or 3 ingredients. Very simple but very delicious. What makes their halo-halo different is the shaved ice and the mashed banana with macapuno. So much is its popularity that Razon’s, which originally was based in Guagua, Pampanga, now has many branches across the country. Must try halo-halo if you drop by in Pampanga.

2. Kabigting’s Halo Halo – One more favorite hailing from Pampanga, they have always been extremely popular in their native Arayat. They have pastillas de leche as one of its ingredients, thus, making it extraordinary and differentiated from others. You can taste its creamy goodness brought about by the specially incorporated pastillas. Pastillas is a candy made with fresh cow’s milk. So each cup of halo-halo will surely you to get the best and most delicious milk. The crushed ice is very fine and the milk used is delicious and kindly added.

3. My Lola Nor’s Meryendahan – My Lola Nor’s is a pretty pleasant and old-fashioned restaurant. It’s like eating in your Lola’s house. This place is awesome simplicity in an old kind of modern way. They offer some breakfast and meryenda and if you feel that the place is a little warm, must try their special halo-halo to cool down. Their halo-halo can easily compete with the other well-known halo-halo in Pampanga. What you can like about this halo-halo is, there’s no preserved ingredient. Everything in it was cooked from scratch (macapuno, ube, and leche flan). If you been there, maybe that was your first time to eat a halo-halo with cheese on top of it. If you want to try their authentic halo-halo, just visit there in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

These are just 4 of the mouthwatering halo-halos and only open stores in the whole town of Pampanga, want to try their famous halo-halo? Just visit here and have some refreshment this summer.
