Park Min Young shoots Confidence Queen scenes in the Philippines
South Korean actress Park Min Young was recently seen filming her ongoing drama “Confidence Queen” at Clark International Airport. The actress wore a flight attendant uniform while shooting a scene with co-star Joo Jong Hyuk, gaining attention from fans and airport staff.
Clark International Airport shared photos of the shoot, highlighting the rare moment of a K-drama production in the Philippines. The drama, an adaptation of the Japanese film “Confidence Man,” follows a trio of con artists as they take on the greedy and corrupt.
Joo Jong Hyuk, who rose to fame in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” expressed his excitement about returning to the Philippines. He previously studied in the country and said he looks forward to visiting again.
Min Young, well-loved in the Philippines for dramas like “Healer,” “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” and “Marry My Husband,” shared her thoughts about her character Yi Rang. She said the most appealing part of her role is being able to transform into different personas each episode.
“With our Korean version, I felt it was even more engaging to explore Yi Rang’s backstory and the events connected with James and Gu Ho,” she explained.
The cast also includes Park Hee Soon as James, a middle-aged con artist who completes the trio. He shared that moving into drama work is a new challenge after years in films, and he hopes audiences will support him.
Min Young admitted to feeling pressured yet excited while filming “Confidence Queen.” She also thanked her Filipino fans for their support.
“To all our Filipino fans who always support us, thank you so much. And since we filmed some scenes in the Philippines, I hope you’ll enjoy it even more,” she said.
