In Pampanga, you may have passed by a place called Wilson’s Instant Tree Bank. You may have ignored it all this time but I’m here to tell you that this place is special. Why? Well, it’s because they are the only Mulberry farm in the whole of Pampanga!

You might wonder, what’s the deal with mulberries being special? Why would you go all the way to Pampanga just to look and eat some mulberries? Well, aside from its unique taste, it has a lot of health properties that you won’t find in other berries or fruit, for that matter! Below are some of the benefits of this special fruit:

  • It aids in digestion.
  • It helps in regulating blood pressure.
  • It is said to help prevent cancer.
  • It prevents premature aging because it is a great source of anti-oxidant.
  • It helps reduce bad cholesterol.

These are just some of the reasons why this berry is really one-of-a-kind! So now, are you pretty much convinced that a visit Wilson’s Instant Tree Bank is worth the while? If not, continue reading!

Wilson’s Instant Tree Bank is owned by a Turkish national who is praised by a lot of visitors for being very kind, accommodating, and approachable. A visit to his farm won’t break the bank, if you’re mostly concerned about that. The farm has NO ENTRANCE FEE, would you believe that? If you want to do some Mulberry picking, you only need to pay Php50 and you get a cup of this magical berry. You can also buy a Mulberry plant which ranges from Php150-750, depending on its size. And oh, they also give you free tips on how to grow this plant!

Come thru from August 1 onwards because the farm will be open for Mulberry picking then. The Mulberry tree only bears fruit 6 times a year so with its peak season coming up, a visit would surely do you good. What are you waiting for? Plan your visit to Wilson’s Instant Tree Bank now!

HOW TO GET THERE

If you come from Metro Manila, head on to Cubao and ride a bus (Genesis, Victory Liner, or Five Star) en route to San Fernando Pampanga.
