NLEX Corporation is in the midst of its annual road maintenance program, aiming to improve the driving experience for motorists. The initiative underscores the company’s commitment to safety and customer service.
“We prioritize both safety and convenience to deliver a high-quality experience for our customers,” said NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista. “Regular inspections and repairs are conducted, but this comprehensive annual program goes above and beyond to enhance the overall condition of our roads and bridges.”
Launched last month, the pavement repair program targets over 100,000 square meters of NLEX and SCTEX. Sections with significant wear will be resurfaced, while minor imperfections will be addressed through patching. The project is expected to conclude in September, benefiting the thousands of motorists who use the expressways daily.
NLEX has also successfully completed repairs on nine bridges and overpasses, including the Canumay Overpass and the Old Angeles Interchange. These works involved rebar replacements and girder restructuring to ensure the bridges’ reliability. Additionally, the vital 720-meter Pasig-Potrero Bridge connecting Subic and Clark is undergoing continuous strengthening measures.
The tollway company is also dedicated to maintaining its roadway furniture in excellent condition. Regular refurbishment is conducted on roadway lighting, perimeter fences, lane markings, and road signages, all crucial for motorist safety and navigation.
NLEX assures the public that traffic management and safety protocols are in place throughout the maintenance works to minimize delays and ensure driver safety. Motorists can access the latest road maintenance schedules and advisories by following NLEX Corporation’s social media accounts or calling their hotline 1-35000.
