SM Foundation, the social good arm of the SM Group, has welcomed 900 new college students into its scholarship program, including scholars from Pampanga honored during a regional ceremony at SM City Pampanga on August 7, 2025.

The program offers full tuition coverage, monthly allowances, and access to activities that support academic and career growth. Scholars benefit from assemblies, part-time work during school breaks, on-the-job training, and potential employment within the SM Group after graduation.

During the ceremony, SM Foundation Executive Director for Education Programs Carmen Linda Atayde said the scholarship is both recognition and encouragement. “Apart from support, the scholarship is also a vote of confidence in your ability, your direction, and your grit. Because you’ve already shown us that you believe in your future. Now, so do we,” she told the scholars.

Founded in 1993 by SM Group Founder Henry Sy Sr., the Scholarship Program aims to make education accessible and help students uplift their families while contributing to their communities. Since its inception, over 6,000 scholars nationwide have received this opportunity.
