Grab Philippines launched Grab Asenso: Digital Diskarte Program in Pampanga, further building on its strong presence in the province since 2019. The program focuses on giving Kapampangan MSMEs access to digital skills, tools, and demand through the Grab platform.
Pampanga has become one of Grab’s biggest growth areas. Today, nearly half of Luzon’s 20,000 Grab drivers and riders are from the province. Over 3,000 local restaurants and shops also rely on Grab services for sales and visibility.
What Makes Asenso Different
Unlike other programs, Grab Asenso combines three essentials: training, digital tools, and customer access.
– Learning Caravan: On-phone modules on social media marketing, AI content creation, and financial planning.
– Digital Tools: Payment solutions like Tap & Scan To Pay and Grab Merchant AI Assistant.
– Support: Automatic enrollment in income protection programs for merchants.
DICT’s ICT Industry Development Bureau endorsed the program as a step towards bridging the digital divide. Angeles City Vice Mayor Amos Rivera noted that the initiative strengthens Pampanga’s resilience and competitiveness in the digital economy.
Entrepreneurs like Kuya Jeck’s Tapsilogan and Morgen Kaffee show how Grab’s support can turn small starts into sustainable businesses.
Grab Asenso Pampanga serves as the pilot before expansion to more regions nationwide.
