Another job opportunities await the Cabalens as VXI Philippines, a US-based Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) operator, recently extended its operations at Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
It was considered as the ninth site operating in the country and already accommodated 185 employees in which about 20 to 30 personnel were transferred from Manila to Clark.
The company aims to employ all agent-positions nearby as its own way of providing jobs for the locals of the area and is expected to hire around 400 people in the span of three months. It added that VXI anticipates reaching more than a thousand employees at the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo graced the inauguration of the company and was accompanied by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Undersecretary Ciriaco Lagunzad III, VXI top executives and the formal launching was led by Jared Morrison, Executive Vice President and Country Manager of VXI.
During his speech, Morrison mentioned that Filipinos contributed a lot to the progress of the global BPO industry adding that one of VXI’s role is to develop continuously the talents of the locals by letting them to prosper in the world.
He also commended the Filipinos for doing a great job in outperforming the other countries and locations in the field of BPO.
For the part of DOLE, DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III who was represented by Lagunzad said in a message that the launch of the newest site of VXI in Clark will realize the many aspirations of the jobseekers to the secure employment opportunities.
Meanwhile, Robredo lauded the exceptional progress of the BPO industry in the Philippines but warned the possible changes it might encounter in the future such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).
She also commended VXI company for providing jobs and for being a good employer to the Filipinos.
On the other hand, Morrison said that they chose to expand their operations in Clark because it has an employable workforce, great infrastructure and has the right kind of skills and graduates.
John Rex Arenas, VXI Vice President for Operations, said that employee-centric culture differs VXI from other BPO industries adding that Action-Per-People philosophy has been the moral standards of the company.
